About LabDIR

LabDIR is a powerful tool for capturing the farm-to-table analytical capability, capacity, technology, and expertise available for protecting and defending the food supply.

This directory profiles the variety of state, local, and federal laboratories that analyze food, feed, seed, pesticides and herbicides, environmental samples, human clinical specimens, and veterinary specimens. As with Food&AgDIR, all of the LabDIR profiles are kept current and accurate through an automated email system that prompts users for contact information updates and alerts FoodSHIELD staff to non-respondents. LabDIR is a fully searchable database containing personnel contact information and expertise, laboratory capacity, equipment, accreditation, analytes tested, and the type of specimens tested. Members with the correct level of secure access are able to easily identify their peers, as well as laboratories and personnel with specific expertise. Members can quickly and securely exchange advice, ideas, and documents with one another.
