International Initiatives, Remarkable Relationships

I recently had the honor of representing NCFPD and the academic perspective on food defense when I was invited to join a training team convened by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) to deliver trainings in Honduras and Brazil. We trained about 50 participants in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and 30-40 participants each in Brasilia and São Paulo, Brazil. The objective was to train the participants in food defense basics, yet what endures today are the relationships we built around the greatest convener of all: food.
